Hey Little Sis or Little Bro, whoever is up for this crazy ride i’m about to take you on.

I’m Katalina. Kat on a good day. Big Sis Kat to you though. It has more of a sisterly ring to it. I’m no role model, but I know a thing or two, been to a place or a few, and made all the bad decisions so that you don’t have to. See, I got you! 

Think of me as the big sister you always wished you had. The cuter one of us two 😉 jokes (but not really) 🤣

The one who documents everything and enjoys describing it in a way that you can almost see it, taste it, feel it, touch it, smell it or hear it (sounds like a Missy Elliot song lol) as though you are right here next to me experiencing it too.

The one who dances in the rain then will spend the next 3 days in bed with a cold.

The one you will find meditating on the beach at sunrise and then dancing on table tops at some seedy bar down a side street in Puerto Rico at Sunset.

The one that will trip over my own feet but will always make sure I look good doing it.

Can spot a good coffee shop from 300 metres away and will make a bee line for it like my life depends on it.

The one that will show up unannounced with chocolate, bad jokes and wine and will tell you exactly what you “need” to hear 

I mean, what can I say. I’m a pretty cool chick! If I do say so myself.

And no, I don’t have it all figured out, I’d like to think I do but I’m still navigating life and this big wide world just as you are and, I’m having the time of my life doing it! 

You never really know where in the world I’ll be next so the contents of each letter will vary incredibly as the story unfolds. But you can be sure as hell that wherever I am, there will always be a good cup of coffee nearby!

But, while I’m out here living life on the edge, documenting it all and sending it to you, I will always make sure that:

• You’ve brushed your teeth today and will probably give you some big spiel about something to do with dental hygiene 
• You’ve eaten real food today and not something from a cardboard box
• You know how insanely beautiful you are & how much value you bring to this world
• You use your spidey senses to weed out the soul suckers and the energy drainers because you deserve better than that
• You find something that scares the shit out of you but do it anyway
•  And remember to not be so hard on yourself, give yourself gentle reminders that you are amazing in every way.

• Loud, loving truth bombs for when you need a little wake-up call
• My monthly obsessions — think beauty, books, podcasts, playlists, or that candle I can’t stop sniffing
• Big sister-style recommendations: what to read, eat, pack, try, and maybe even avoid
• A moment of pause. A spark of connection. A small rebellion against the noise.
• And always, always a reminder — you are not alone, little sis. I’m right here. With stories to tell and a few belly laughs to go with it.

Again, letters may come either hand-written (If I can find a pen or if I’ve accidentally left my laptop in my bag at my accomodation) or typed and printed off (if I’ve been lucky enough to find somewhere to print them off).

So Little Sis or Little Bro, I hope you’re ready for me to take you on this unapologetically crazy exciting journey. 

And I’ll keep writing to you like you’re my best friend.
